Locked-in syndrome is a condition where all the voluntary muscles of the body get paralyzed except for vertical eye movements and blinking. Due to this, the patient cannot communicate verbally. Despite his condition, Jean-Dominique Bauby didn't give up and wrote this inspiring book just by expressing through his eyes. Unfortunately, he died after publication of the book but his zeal of living even in the end days will undoubtedly keep you alive.
