This muscle is located at the posterior aspect of Arm.

This is big muscle and provide protection from posterior aspect.

what is the attachment of the muscle ?

Origin of long head from Infraglenoid tubercle, Lateral head from oblique ridge of upper posterior humerus, medial head from large triangular area on posterior humerus below radial grove an insert into posterior surface of olecranon process of the ulna and antebrachial fascia.

ACTIONS:

Powerfully extends the elbow.

The long head also assists in abduction and extension of the shoulder joint.

NERVE SUPPLY: Radial Nerve C6, C7, C8, T1

CLINICAL: Snapping Triceps Syndrome.
